Abstract

The Chí Linh Area is situated in Northern Hải Dương Province, This area is characterized by high population, historical works, beautiful landscape and is an area belonging to the Lạng Sơn - Hà Nội - Hải Dương - Hải Phòng - Quảng Ninh economic ring. Mineral resources in the areas have been being exploited by many industrial plants. Consequently, soil and water pollution caused by industrial waste occurred to negatively impact the human lives and ecotourism in the region. The drainage systems in the region are well developed. Especially this area is confluent of many major rivers (called as Lục Đầu Giang), where the erosion, river capture, migration and flood often occur. The area also demonstrates strong Neotectonism, which triggers ground sink, land slide in the hilly and mountainous regions. Our study results also showed that the landslide has ever occurred at the base of the talus along the traffic roads in the region. The fluvial erosion also occurred and will be taken place strongest at the confluent of the major rivers. Regarding water, soil and radioactive environments, they are all meet the requirements in general according to the current standards. However, some places have been contamminated by toxic elements, bacteria or starvation of mineral element in the soil. In order to prevent geological hazards from occurring as well as their related environmental pollution, it is necessary to have integrated solutions for pollution prevention and treatment.
