Abstract

The La Vi mineralization zone containing lithium rare metal occurs at tfie eastern margin of the Kon Turn massif. The ore bodies consist of greizenized and albitized pegmatoid dikes distributed near the contact zone between granitoids of the Sa Huỳnh complex and granulite-facies ultrametamorphic rocks of Kan Năck complex. This is the typical type of pegmatite mineralization containing many rare and precious metals of high value, especially Li and Sn minerals that reach the industrial content. Accompanied elements are Ta-Nb, Rb, Cs and Be.

Our study results show that the discovery of the La Vi rare metal zone has a great scientific and practical significance and is the basis for the exploration and exploitation of lithium ore in the near future, contributing to the development of the mining industry in the area. Concurrently, these results together with the recent discoveries of minerals indicated that the areas belonging to the Kon Turn massif, where showing geological premises, prospecting signs and geological structures similar with those of the study region have a potential for discovery of rare minerals, such as lithium, tin, tungsten, uranium and other minerals.
