Abstract
The paper presents results of evaluating slope stability at stone-pit 3/2 in Binh Dương District under estimated external loading of 20 kN/m2 based on factor of safety computed by GeoSlope/W software, then assesses the obtained results and proposes the preventive solution for a danger to sliding. The analyzed result of sections at five-metre intervals shows that a few locations in research area have factor of safety less than allowable value. With specification of slope and specific constructing circumstance at the research area, leveling solution is used in order to reduce the inclination of slope of research area. The proposed solution gives the analyzed results with factor of safety in a range of 1,20 and 1,32 comparing to required factor of safety of 1,1 for all considered sections with slope angle from 30° to 35°.
