Abstract
Việt Nam, like other developing countries, has been and is dealing with environmental pollution caused by water leached from rubbish-dumps. In fact, there is a lack of proper waste-water collection and treatment. Traditional environmental technologies are often avoided because of high cost of construction and operation. An alternative is the vegetation model, a natural treatment system of low coast. This measure has shown various advantages. In this paper, the first results of application of ecotechnology for treatment of water leached from rubbish-dumps is presented. The studied results confirm the capacity of different tropical plants, like Phragmites australis and Acrostichum aureum.
