Abstract

The basaltic weathering crust in South Việt Nam has very large reserves in bauxite ore. With new remarks on lateritic iron, it is also a large resource in lateritic iron. These resources need to be systematically surveyed and evaluated, aiming to supply with reliable data for the rational planning of exploration and exploitation. This is also the planning of efficient land use and socio-economic development of provinces of the Tây Nguyên Highland and of Central Việt Nam.
