Abstract

The Đakrông - A Lưới area is situated in the north of the Đà Nẵng - Khe Sanh Tectonic Zone having complicated geological structure with abundant gold manifestations of over 20 deposits and ore occurrences of different scales. The gold mineralization belongs to the quartz-sulphide-gold type lying in strongly fractured and altered metamorphic rocks of greenschist facies, composed of 3 ore types: quartz-gold, quartz-pyrite-pyrrhotine-gold and quartz-polymetallic ore-gold types.

The gold mineralization in the Đakrông - A Lưới area is controlled by the NW-SE trending faults and fissures and accompanied structures, metamorphosed terrigenous sediments of the A Vương Formation, mafic effusives metamorphosed to the greenschist facies of the Núi Vú Formation, intrusives of the Bến Giằng - Quế Sơn Complex and metamorphic factors.
