Abstract
Gravel-sand is one of important raw materials in the construction industry. However, the resources are increasingly exhausted on the mainland by uncontrolled exploitation. At the same time, the exploitation of construction materials causes also adverse effects to the environment.
This article introduces the potential and quality of gravel-sand in the coastal area of Sóc Trăng Province, quality standards for sea-floor gravel-sand, the depth and environmental impact in the exploitation and the orientation for investigation in the coming years.
