Abstract

Kaolinite clay occurs widely in the East Nam Bộ region. On the basis of investigation on its quality, some conlusions can be made as follows:

- White clay in East Nam Bộ is not pure kaolin, but kaolinite-rich clay with the kaolinite content ranging from 20 to 60%;

- The quality of kaolinite clay ranges from medium to high; the clay is easy to be sorted and can be used as raw material for ceramics and paper powder production.
