Abstract

Tectonic fault activities and old galleries in the mine cause danger to coal seam digging, such as: bursting water, mud and gas, breaking and making the fall down of walls, ... The safety and forecast the danger of coal seam digging is an urgent work of the coal industry and the whole society. Results of applying seam waves seismic method have been affirming that it can be used to determine in detail the faults and dangers around the coal mine area. The article presents good results in the application of this method in the Vàng Danh coal mine, Quảng Ninh Province.
