Abstract
The resultsof theresearch project "Research for developing models for sandstone-hosted uranium deposit typesinViệt Nam" show that uraniumoresin Nông Sơn Basin occur mainly in the form of tabular deposits. Theore bodies are in the form of pocket chains, lenses, pseudobeds, distributed near the red-ox boundary with the bias toward the reduced zone and in thefine to coarse grained arkosicsandstone of gray color in the reduced zone. Althoughin outer appearance the uranium ore bodies are of tabular shape, in internal structure they are of rather complex morphology, very irregular distribution of uranium content andunstable thickness. Therefore itis necessary to apply reasonable exploration grid suitable for the sandstone-hosted uranium deposit typein Nông SơnBasin.
