Abstract

The ORTEC GEM-30 gamma spectrometric system is an equipment system able to analyze radioluclides, which emit gamma radiation, with very high accuracy, serving well the mineral investigation and exploration in general and the study of radioactive environment in particular. This article introduces some outstanding capabilities of the ORTEC GEM-30 system in analyzing geological and environmental samples at the Geological Division for Radioactive and Rare Minerals in the last period.
