Abstract

The geophysical applications in basic geological survey, assessment and exploration of mineral resource in Vietnam have been begun since 1955. Through nearly 60 years, geophysical work has been continuously developed and became an indispensable method in geological investigation. Lots of work and the results of geophysical survey have been recognized and appreciated. The article reviews the outstanding results of geophysical work in basic geological surveys, mineral explorationg, evaluation and prospecting (Geophysical survey achievements in oil and gas exploration are not presented in this paper) in this period.
