Abstract
In contrast to the method of surveying the foundation by borehole which is expensive and difficult to conduct, the geophysical methods have reasonable cost with high accuracy such as seismic, DC, electromagnetic (EM) … Therefore, geophysical methods are increasingly widely applied in engineering geological survey. In PVU research project of application 04 geophysical fields including resistivity, longitudinal conductivity, magnetic field and wave velocity in the environment show that the high-resolution refractive seismic method has great potential in surveying shallow geological structures (up to 30m) serving the inspection of the foundation works in Long Huong area. However, the results also show that seismic refractive method faces many difficulties in receiving the signal due to the thick loose surface coating and the software that follows the device is difficult to use. Therefore, it needs to be improved in two directions: the explosion-collection system and the reasonable software for interpretation.
