Abstract

During carrying our Project entitled: “Detail evaluation of natural radioactive contamination areas in northwestern Việt Nam in order to inform the provincial People's Committee for planning and implementing necessary actions to minimize the negative effects on the human health”, we have discovered some new environmental radioactive anomalies. In which, the Châu Quế Thượng anomaly was detected in an area, where was considered to have  medium-low values of radioactivity (<25μR/h), and this area was  prepared for resettlement of the people due to the Lào Cai - Nội Bài highway construction.
