Abstract

This paper presents the results of the fracture distribution in different aged rocks for reconstruction of paleo and modern stresses in northern and middle Central Vietnam. By using professional computation programs, detail data of internal fractures in different aged rocks have been analyzed and are presented in  stereograms showing orientation of the fractures and in the roses-diagrams demonstrating the azimuthal direction of the fractures as well as to reconstruct the paleo-stress state during the rock formation. According to that, the  fracture distribution pattern was established, the geodynamics and stress change in northern and middle Central Vietnam were also well defined.
