Abstract
The integrated analysis of satellite gravity and magnetic data was used to study the crustal differentiation of the Phú Khánh Basin and adjacent areas. The results showed that:
1/ The formation and evolution of the Phú Khánh Basin has been associated with strong subsidence of normal faults belonging to the Cenozoic NE-SW Oc faulting system.
2/ The Moho surface in the the Phú Khánh Basin is just about 18-21 km and tends to shallower toward the center.
3/ The Earth crust in the Phú Khánh Basin is extensional transition crust. Its average density is about 2.70 g/cm3, corresponding compressional P-wave of 6 km/s.
