Abstract

Using migration methods of seismic in processing ground penetrating radar (GPR) data has been done by many scientists, such as Szaraniec (1976, 1979); Ursin (1983), Lee and colleagues (1987), and Zhdanov(1988). The principles of this method is restoration of the observed wave field back to the correct position of the objects; Then, the energy of scatter points is converged and subsurface object will be clearly shown if applying accurate travelling velocity of the waves. However, determining accurate velocity for migration is very difficult and time-consuming. Therefore, we combined the F-K (frequency-wave number) migration and minimum entropy to resolve above problem. Thus, the GPR data processing were done in the following steps: Firstly, applying F-K migration into the data processing. Secondly, determining accurate velocity based on minimum entropy value. Finally, the depth and size of objects are definedfor mapping underground construction works in Hồ Chí Minh City.
