Abstract
The initial results of geochemical and heavy mineral sampling at scale of 1:50 000 of the Phố Lu - North Than Uyên Map Sheet have given some new findings in geology and mineral resources, which are sinificant orientation for the following geological mapping, namely:
REE minerals accumulated as ion absoption in the undefined granite waethering crust of the Fan Sipan Belt Belonging to the Sin Quyền Formation previously) was considered to have high potential in the area.
A primary Au mineralization belt in Pắc Ta is related to valcanic rocks of the Tú Lệ and Huổi Cẩm – Nậm Sổ Complexes and is related to carbonatized silty sandstone, tuff of the Pu Tra Formation as well as related to the lamproid, minet dykes of the Cốc Pìa Complex.
Many gabbro and pegmatite gabbro bodies have been found in the Sông Hồng Zone, which are related to the hydrothermal graphite mineralization. The overlying weathering crust contain ilmenite placer. Some molybdenite-containing skarnoid boulders have also observed in the area.
