Abstract

The results of geological and mineral investigation scaled at 1:25 000 and exploration work in Don Ngeun Area, Phong Thoong District, Luang Prabang Province (PDR. Laos) showed that some industrial antimony ore bodies have been discovered and delineated. The main ore minerals are antimonite, arsenopyrite, pyrite associated with the quartz veins. The mineralization was suggested as the quartz-arsenopyrite type and low-medium temperature hydrothermal genesis. The results showed that this area has high potential of antimony, which needs to be prospected, extensively explored further to the adjacent areas.
